Windows 2000 Set-Up Instructions for Online Services
Double-click on the "Connect to the Internet" icon on your desktop.
NOTE: If you don't have a "Connect to the Internet" Icon on your
desktop, then you should be able to find it by clicking on
your "Start" button, then selecting Programs, Accessories,
Communications, Internet Connection Wizard.
Select "I want to setup up my Internet Connection manually..."
Click "Next"
Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem"
Click "Next"
Enter the Online Services telephone number that is local to you.
NOTE: If you live in an area that requires 10 digit dialing, enter
the area code directly in front of the Online Services telephone number in
the phone number box. DO NOT enter the area code in the area code box.
Uncheck the "Use area code and dialing rules"
Click "Next"
Enter your Online Services username in the "username" box
Enter your Online Services password in the "password" box
Enter "dialoregon.net" in the "Connection Name" box
Select "No" to the question "Do you want to set up an internet
mail account now?"
NOTE: Once you are connected, you will want to use Internet Explorer
to go to
http://dialoregon.net/support/
and setup your mail reader to check your dialoregon.net mailbox.
Click on "Next"
Click on "Finish"
To connect to dialoregon.net, double click on the Internet Explorer icon on your
desktop.
